À propos de l'Église de Christ
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, as Paul would say,
Let me bring you to the passage where Jesus denounces the hypocrisy of the Pharisees of his time and to my surprise, the Pharisees of our time also. An extraordinary revelation.
(Mark 7:5-14) NKJ Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”
6 He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.
7 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”
9 He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.
10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.
11 But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban”—’ (that is, a gift to God),
12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother,
13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”
I think we have to wake up and see the Pharisees of our time in the local churches today and cease to implore the traditions of men to annihilate the commandments of God, to be the Church of Christ and not be in the churches, or the churches of men.
Please judge according to the Word and not according to what men say. It’s time to stop playing Church as I and other brothers and sisters have already said, and let’s be the Church, the Church that Christ is building (Mt 16:18).
Part of the Church of Christ in the local churches is asleep. They are blinded and slaves to these traditions without knowing it and these traditions can also be called (the religious system) or (the system) and it is powerful, dominate and seductive.
The Church wants to be free, but it doesn’t know why or from what it has to be freed from. I believe that the idea that everybody is working with traditions (the religious system), these traditions keep influencing, seducing and blinding the Church.
Wake up Church and be free from these traditions in Jesus’ name. Be this powerful Church that Jesus himself is building.
Another thing that the religious system has done, it has divided the Church into different groups called :
– The Roman Catholic
– Eastern Orthodox
– Seventh-day Adventists.
All these denominations are so called Christians. This is what a website called “religionfacts.com” says about these denominations; “The branches of Christ’s church have developed diverse traditions that enlarge our store of shared understandings.”
The branches of Christ’s church? What happened to the Body of Christ’s Church? Then they say: “Developed diverse traditions that enlarge our store of shared understandings.” Wow, again they mention traditions that enlarge our store of shared understandings…, what happened to Christ’s understanding. If Christ is building His Church, where is He? Why isn’t Christ the head of these churches?
“Oh yes, I almost forgot,” Christ is against traditions or maybe He’s too demanding? Anyway, back to reality, DIVISION.
The Church of Christ is not divided as are these denominations; we are a Body United in Christ Only. We accept the division of the body of Christ because the leaders of these local churches continue to feed us with their traditions, for example: “their denominations” it has traditions and a doctrine which is different from the other denominations. They all cause division in the Church of Christ and furthermore, these denominations decided to ignore what Paul pleads us not to do :
(1 Cor 1:10-13) 10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” (Example: of Pentecostal) or “I am of Apollos,” (of Baptist) or “I am of Cephas,” (of Methodist) or “I am of Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
(Rom 16:17-18) 17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.
Do you realize that Paul is urging us to avoid those who cause separation from the Body of Christ; it must be serious if the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to say that. All these denominations that we accept today are from Satan himself and we let them come in the Church of Christ (the Body of Christ) to then let them separate the Body because we are slaves and controlled by traditions of men (the religious system).
All the local churches have nothing to do with what Jesus wanted to build. Otherwise, there would be no division of the Church caused by these different denominations. With Jesus, there would be no denominations. We are doing exactly what the Pharisees did, “Practicing their own traditions” and Oh yeah… they decided to add a little extra also, like living off of the Church instead of giving and sharing to the Church (Rom 12:1-8)
Do you really believe that this is the Church that Christ is building, or are we the church that men build?
Paul has given us another example of what the Church should be like:
(Act 2:42-47) 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
GIVING AND SHARING THE GIFTS THAT GOD GAVE US TO ONE ANOTHER.
That is what the Church should resemble CHRIST (LOVE). It is not even a choice, but a commandment. That is how people will recognize Christ, through the love of His body, not through the traditions of men.
Know and remember what Jesus said when He said ; “I never knew you.”
(Mat 7:21-23) Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.
Does Jesus (God) know us? Are we His true Church? Let’s re-examine ourselves as His Church.
Wow, I didn’t want to say all of this, just wanted to share (Mark 7:5-13) on traditions, but I was pushed to write what came to my heart at this moment.
My heart is crying to wake up and free the Church of Christ from this powerful drug that is keeping part of the Church foolish. I say part of…because the other part is wise and working on being the Church. Sounds like the ten virgins, doesn’t it? Five wise and five foolish (Mt 25:1-12)
Let us be vigilant and let all that is said by man be judged by the Word of God and keep our spiritual eyes and ears open at all times. Study the Bible and ask God for His revelation and may that veil that is covering our eyes and ears be removed in Jesus’ name, amen.
CHURCH, BE FREE IN JESUS’ NAME, AMEN.
In Him and for Him, (John 17:9-11)
