« CHURCH…WAKE UP ! »

endormi dans les églises systèmatiquesBy James Mack

First of all, I want to be as clear as possible with this message: It is not for EVERYONE, but only for the Church of Christ. I say this by relying on His wisdom, His love and His Word. This message is for the born again Christians, those who want to follow Jesus with a pure and true heart. This message is for Christians filled with the Holy Spirit and those who are guided by the Holy Spirit at all times and in all things. It is for Christians who want to live the Church that Christ is building.

Hello everyone, this message is not to judge anyone in any way. On the contrary, my desire is that each one of us could examine what Church (or church) we serve, the Church that CHRIST is building, or the church that MAN is building. Is our walk with the Lord according to His Truth or Our Truth?  We know that there is only one Truth: The one found in the Word of God (The Bible). We also know that as born again Christians, we must apply the Bible at 100% and not just take what pleases us. We do not have the authority to change what we dislike, or to interpret what we do not understand. Someone once told me, when we were discussing the Word of God: “Yes, but that is your truth.” Those words totally surprised me, knowing that we are all brothers and sisters and we all read the same Bible which is The Truth. There is but one truth. It is not my truth or yours. Only Jesus is the truth and no one can have another Jesus.  Outside the Word of God, the other truths or doctrines are sectarian. Everything that man builds and controls outside of Jesus is sectary.  I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and turning to a different gospel (Truth, doctrine) 7 not that there is another gospel, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed(Gal 1:6-8) RSV Here we see that Paul, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, curses all other messages, doctrines, good-news, gospels and truths.  I want to be clear and as humble as Jesus was while He was flesh, I do not hold any truth outside of Jesus. Jesus also told me that I have nothing good in me (Mk 10:18). It is really for the love I have for the Church of Christ that I must stay humble with you and PROTECT YOU against the lies, cause the Bible tells me that lying is a sin that leads to death.

Lord and Savior

Among Christians, there are those who accept Jesus only as their savior and there are others who give their lives completely to the Lord and accept Him as their MASTER of their lives. God clearly warns us about it. (Mt 10:39, Mk 8:34-35, Philippians 1:21)  Which one should we choose: “Only the Savior without giving Him our lives?” or “The Lord and Savior who has our lives totally”. When I say “we” it is because I also included myself in this message. So, are we following our Lord or are we following our Savior? We always have the choice to choose, and unfortunately, too many choose the Savior, because we are not submitted to a Savior. However, did you know that a high percentage of people who have been saved from a tragedy of some sort, by a person, other than Jesus, many will say to their savior, “I owe you my life!” Although, even if that person saved my life, by law, I am not reliable to that person. Yet, Jesus through the cross, saves us from eternal death. We can be saved by Jesus without obeying Him. When we do not submit ourselves to Jesus as Lord, we very often end up using him instead of serving Him. The human race is so corrupt!  Submitting ourselves to a lord makes him the lord and king. Our Lord Jesus deserves our love, our obedience, our submission and our lives. We must be willing to die for Him even if we do not like it or disturbs our comfort zone.  We must give our LIVES to Jesus and not our NEEDS. Yes, God is love, but He is also righteous and he says in: (Matthew 10:39) He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.. So the choice to have eternal life is very narrow If Jesus Christ is (God’s anointed) and He has all the qualifications to be our Lord and Savior, then why are we inclined to want to follow our Savior more than our Lord? In reality, it is not even a choice, because Biblically one does not come without the other, yet, we were able to separate them from one another. As we did with the Church of Christ. I know that choosing Jesus as our Lord is not an easy choice, but as I mentioned above, the choice will be easier for the Christians that are born again and who want to follow Jesus with a pure and true heart. Only they will fight to keep the Lordship of Christ the first fruits of their lives everyday. So church, are we following Jesus as He asked his disciples to do? Is “following Jesus” going to a local church every Sunday, or several days a week? Is that what Jesus meant when He commanded them to follow Him? No, I believe He meant: “Do as I do, everything I do and everything I say,” in other words: “Be my imitators” Are we imitating Jesus by going to a local church every Sunday? Do we really know the true definition of what the Church is, or what it’s supposed to do? Did we really capture the true definition of the Church when He said, “Upon this rock I will build my Church.” ? (Mat 16:18) Sometimes during the week we reunite, in our homes to share the Bible together, to have what we call; “A Bible Study”. To have a Bible Study in the local churches is almost impossible, because of all the organized programs and traditions already installed. Do you not know that our Lord is spontaneous? Show me in the Bible where Jesus has prepared a message, a healing, or a deliverance ect. At all times and in all things, He is the one who guides and directs our meetings. (Gal 5:16-26) tells us about the desires of the flesh and the Spirit. Yet the purpose of our meeting in homes is to seek the Face of God by worshiping Him in spirit and in truth, to invite Him and know what He wants to tell us or what He wants from us at the present moment, right? For God tells us that He has plans for us, if we call upon Him, pray to Him, we will be heard, and if we seek Him with all our heart, He will be found.  For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, 14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile. (Jer 29:11-14) RSV First of all, the main reason why we meet is to worship Him for who He is and to seek Him until he lets us find Him, and then when we find Him, we must share what He’s telling us and if it is His will, we do what He tells us to do to one another and for one another. As I said earlier, we serve a spontaneous God, a God who does not repeat Himself, A GOD OF FAITH, nothing was done routinely with Jesus. But us, we seek to repeat, we install routines, we have programs and organize because we don’t have the patience to wait until the Spirit of God to tell us what to do then and there, at the spontaneous moment of OUR FAITH. I haven’t read the entire Bible yet, but what I read until now, nowhere does God ask us to prepare a meeting or a gathering of any church. Otherwise, it would not be spontaneous. He only commands us to prepare, to be ready, to stay awake for the coming of His son. For the rest: “Praise Him, Pray Him, Seek Him, and for our meetings, regardless, they are all by faith – “SPONTANEOUSLY” What is the first mission that Jesus ordered his disciples to do? Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.(Mat 28:19-20) KJV Are we His disciples? If so, then that command is for us too. In verse 19, He commands us to make disciples of all nations, therefore it is not for us to choose who is brought to Christ, but rather, let the Holy Spirit do the choosing for us, even if the person seems dangerous or impossible to our eyes, that person probably cried out to God for liberty of some sort and only God knows and decides. For these reasons, we must let our judgment aside because God also commands us not to judge by the appearance, the attitude and the character of a person, but to judge what is said and done according to His Word. Yes sometimes the appearance, the attitude and the character of another person will have an influence in our choice to talk about Christ. “Big mistake,” because we will be judged for it. In verse 20, He commands us to Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:and not whatsoever satisfies us. He did not give this command to only one person to do, but to all his disciples. It is a command for each of us, because we are also his disciples. His commandments are for all disciples, the whole body of Christ and not to one person chosen by one person, otherwise Jesus would have mentioned it. We can all make disciples, we can all baptize and we can all teach what he has commanded us, because he gave us a command, he also said that he will be with us every day, until to the end of the world. Here then, let’s keep this firm faith in Him alone, and walk with His command, because our obedience or disobedience will also be judged. Also, Paul tells us exactly how God, through His son, made His people able to perform His services for the growth of His Body: (Eph 4: 11-15) NIV 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. Is this what the Church of Christ is practicing today? Is it practicing the five gifts of God to bring His Church able to perform his services, so that His body can grow to maturity? What is the Church in these churches practicing today?

  • A predetermined and structured praise (not spontaneous)
  • Advertisements (not spontaneous)
  • A message that is structured and delivered by one man and leaving the remaining Church passive. (not spontaneous)
  • A call for salvation after the message, if time permits, without any follow-up in certain churches for the new believers.
  • A welcome committee at the front door.
  • Ushers to seat people and to keep some sort of control in the assembly
  • People in the library to sell cd’s, videos or books.
  • A secretary
  • An accounting and bookkeeper for the church.
  • Paid Workers to keep the church clean and in good operation.    Etc..

These churches are BUSINESSES with ENTREPRENEURS. Everything is planned, structured, and CONTROLLED by MAN or by one MAN.  I see nowhere in the Bible where Jesus or Paul commands us to practice Church in that matter NOWHERE, and you, did you find this definition of the Church of Christ in the Bible? If yes, please. let me know where so that I may repent.. What are the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers doing in these businesses? Are they at work during the gathering? Are they at work in sharing their gifts to the Church so that the Body of Christ can grow as verse 12 says in Eph 4? Jesus clearly denounces the hypocrisy of the Pharisees of his time which resemble the leaders of our churches today. (Mark 7:5-13) NIV So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?” 6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules. 8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”  And he continued,“You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother, and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’ 11 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)— 12 then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. 13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.” Jesus said to Peter that upon this rock “I will build My Church” (Matthew 16:18)  Are we the Church that Christ is building today or the church of man?  What is the true definition of Christ’s Church and its assembling? Paul clearly tells us that the assembly and the Church is not the same thing. (Acts 11:26) KJV And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. So we see here that they didn’t assemble (meet) in the church, but they assembled (met with) the Church. So what does assembled mean in the Greek context? Assembled themselves Strong’s Number:   4863 Original word = sunavgw Transliterated Word = Sunago Definition :

  1. to gather together, to gather
    1. to draw together, collect
      1. of fishes
      2. of a net in which they are caught
  2. to bring together, assemble, collectto lead with one’s self into one’s home, i.e. to receive hospitably, to entertain
    1. to join together, join in one (those previously separated)
    2. to gather together by convoking
    3. to be gathered i.e. come together, gather, meet

So assembly is a place of gather for the Church and not a church. They all (the Church) met in their homes or in larger places if the Church was too big. Church = Ekklesia (Strong’s Number: 1577) Ek: out of – klesis: called We have been called out. Called out of what? God calls us out of the world (sin), all that is the legacy of Adam, out of where and who we are in the world. He calls us out of human traditions, organizations, routines, all that is religious and repetitious. He calls us out of all that crushes our faith in Jesus and stops us from following Him at 100%… “HE CALLS US OUT OF BABYLON” Babylon = everything that is religious. God used Moses to lead His people from slavery in Egypt and today, the Church must be freed from Babylon the (religious system). Paul explains to us on how the Church should be today.  Some people might say, “But it’s not like that today, the world has changed.” Times have changed, but the Word of God is always in present time and it does not change because God Himself does not change (Mal 3: 5-6) and God is not a man to lie or to repent (Num 23:19). Today, we and our leaders, are exactly like the Pharisees of (Mark 7:5-13). We do not see it, because the traditions have “subtly” taken place. We see nothing because the Word of God has been twisted and used to deceive us. We trust and believe what men say instead of seeking the word of God afterwards. We are called out of Babylon because God said: (Rev 18:2-5) And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird. For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants (businesses) of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality.” I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues; 5 for her sins have [h]piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. All churches (temples) made by human hands (led by man), with or without denominations are businesses made by the religious systems (Babylon). They are not built by Christ.  The Church of Christ is organic, spiritual and united. She forms one body with Christ as Christ did with the Father. She is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. When we meet in a systematic church, we are not in the Lord’s Temple as several leaders say. We are His Temple, no matter where we are. We are not supposed to have many churches in one city, as we see today, we are to have but one, the Church with a capital C, the Church of Christ, His Body, His Bride.  There may be several uniting Churches of Christ, like the Church of New York or the Church of Montreal as described in (Revelation 2 and 3), but not many churches in one city. The Bible also tells us that God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit do not dwell in a temple built by human hands.  Jesus says I will destroy this temple made with hands and in three days build another not made with hands.” (Mark 14:58) Paul says : “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earthand does not live in temples built by hands. (Acts 17:24) And he also says in (Acts 7:48) : “However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the prophet says: I have the french (Louis Segond) version for my french message that says : the Most High does not live in all that is made by men. Therefore Paul does not even mention a temple or house, but all that is made by man, the Most High is not. So why do you think we keep going to these places if God isn’t there? If the church is not built by Him, He says: “I am not”. If God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are not in a temple (church) or anything that is made with hands of man, then who do we worship? We feel the presence of who or what when we praise, when we preach or when we pray etc..? Who’s presence do we feel? Another proof that Jesus is not in these places, is that the churches built by men all have divided the Body of Christ because of their different doctrines and denominations and by this truth, we can see that God (Jesus) dwells not, for the Church of Christ is not divided. Churches built by human hands try to put the unity of Christ’s Church, only within that church. and I did say: ” try to put the unity ” because this small part of the church is not united with its members at all. They try to unite, saying for example: “We are a family”, yes we are family, but only to the Body of Christ His Church, not to man’s church. We are not a family of the church so and so, like most of these man made churches say, amen? Sometimes we are seduced and serve another Jesus or another spirit or another gospel and the Bible tells us that we love it. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. (2 Cor 11:4) The Church of Christ is united with the whole body and not just with a body part. She is united with Christ, the only head. She is taught and led by the Holy Spirit. WE are the Church, the temple of God, and Jesus is not, where there are no believers. Paul says in (1 Cor 12:25) so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learnedKeep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. (Rom 16:17-18) These different denominations that we made and accepted are exactly what Paul is begging us not to do. I urge youbrothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to agree togetherto end your divisionsand to be united by the same mind and purpose. 11 For members of Chloe’s household have made it clear to me, my brothers and sisters, that there are quarrels among you. 12 Now I mean this, that each of you is saying, “I am with Paul,” (example: with the Pentecostal) or “I am with Apollos, (the Baptist)” or “I am with Cephas,”(the Anglican) or “I am with Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Paul wasn’t crucified for you, was he? Or were you in fact baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so that no one can say that you were baptized in my name! (1 Cor 1:10-15) Are we so blind that we cannot see that a divided Church or a separated Body is not the Church of Christ? Why do we accept these different denominations? They only separate the Body and serve Satan himself, it is so clear. Are we the Church (Body) of Christ, or the church (body) of Satan, a rebellious church to Christ? These churches keep us passive by not fully using our gifts for one other. Why do we continue feeding these small churches that prevent us from fully using our gifts for one another and let God manifest Himself through His Holy Spirit? Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are different ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are different results, but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. 7 To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all. 8 For one person is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another performance of miracles, to another prophecy, and to another discernment of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 It is one and the same Spirit, distributing as he decides to each person, who produces all these things. 25 so that there won’t be division in the body and so the parts might have mutual concern for each other. (1 Cor 12: 4-11, 25) I also noticed that most churches built by man do not bear the name of Jesus Christ or even identify themselves as the Church of Christ, but some of these churches will bear the name of their denomination, but not their Lord. I believe that one of the reasons why these churches built by man do not bear the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is by “Fear of Man“. The name Jesus disturbs man greatly in general, whether he is a believer or not. I also believe that it may be God’s will, because these churches are not His Church. They are those of man, or even of Satan, and they prove it by themselves.  Some of these churches have one foot in the light and the other in darkness. Others are completely in the dark. So, CHURCH, are you awake or are you asleep? Who are you serving as a disciple of Christ? Are you really serving the Church of Christ or…? Study these verses I gave you, verify their meanings with the strong’s and pray God for His revelation, ask God to give you clarity on your position for Him and His Church. Blessings in Jesus only, James
